Vintage Glamour with Black & White Diamond Jewels

Next Tuesday sees the start of the 69th edition of the Cannes Film Festival. Along with being the world’s most famous celebration of cinema, the event, which runs from the 11th – 26th of May on the French Riviera, offers ample opportunity to star gaze as Hollywood’s A list arrive at both screenings and parties showcasing high fashion and stunning jewellery.

In homage to the stars of yesterday who have walked the iconic Cannes red carpet since the first festival in 1946, we’ve decided to showcase five classic pieces of black and white diamond jewellery from the Private Diamond Club collection that ooze old school Hollywood glamour.

Be the Belle of the Ball with Belle de Nuit, a precious ball of 1.54ct of black diamonds encircled by 1.45ct of paved white diamonds to create an unforgettable first impression that evokes vintage art-deco fashion.

For a more modern twist, Heather is a stunning cocktail diamond ring with an incredible 173 black and white diamonds, 1.02ct in total, intertwined on a trio of 18k gold bands. A piece of jewellery that works with everything in your wardrobe, from evening dresses to smart, feminine, suits.

Channel your inner Lauren Bacall and other legends of the big screen with Laurier, a classic and elegant diamond ring. The centrepiece is an eye-catching single 2.69ct round black diamond, on a square setting paved with 0.62ct of white diamonds, which continue onto the split shank band.

From the same collection, the Laurier diamond earrings offer the ideal complement to the diamond ring. These diamond pendant earrings each boast a 1.35ct black diamond with a paved border of 0.23ct of white diamonds for an art-deco feel.

Adding a touch of sparkle to any outfit, Millepertius is a stylish chain diamond bracelet, set with a delicate line of 0.10ct white or black diamonds, completed by one single diamond of 0.05ct. Perfect for transitioning from daytime business meetings to evening cocktail wear!
